AN AMERICAN CELEBRATION OF INDEPENDENCE!!
July 09, 2008 11:14 PM PDT
itunes pic

The Kitchen Sink presents, in the spirit of Mr. George Carlin, a raunchy, bawdy and, really, very funny episode for your listening pleasure.

If this isn't one of the most musically suggestive shows you've ever listened to...well then I worry about you.

Our belated 4th of July episode celebrating America and, above all things, her independent spirit...with lots of songs about SEX...all sorts of fun, naughty and kinky sex. It's perfect for the internet!!!

Desperation Squad (desperationsquad.com)
Frank Zappa Tim Curry
Liz Phair
Parliament
The Rolling Stones
The Pandoras
The Pretenders
Soundgarden
Lene Lovich
Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band
A very special appearance by the late, great George Carlin
...and the ever popular much, much more.

While not as bad as you're probably thinking...this show is explicit and not for kids, hell, it may not be for some adults.

So if you dare...

A SORT OF SPRING CLEANING

Spring has sprung in southern California and along with the usual blooming of the flowers comes reason for celebration as we not only shed our winter coat but pause for just a moment of self-indulgence as THE KITCHEN SINK TURNS TWO YEARS OLD!

We've decided to dig deep and come up with our own sort of "spring cleaning" to mark the occasion. So put on your party hats, pop the top of a cold one, break out the mop and bucket and get ready to scrub hard because by the time this episode is over you'll be feeling more than a little bit dirty.

Don't be fooled. The flyer is the only "explicit" thing about this anniversary show. On March 20th, the Iraq War turns five years old and I could think of no better way to celebrate this date then to take a look back, to have a rememberance, if you will, of how we got to be where we are...good, bad and ugly.

The Abe Lincoln Story (www.soulpunkswing.com)
Sinead O'Connor Black Sabbath Fluke Laurie Anderson
Midnight Oil Jefferson Airplane Tom Waits
Metallica Robert Palmer U2 Blind Faith
Squirrel Nut Zippers...and the usual much, more more.

Another big file here so if you have ANY issues at all...PLEASE drop me a line so I can tend to immediately.

Another Roller Derby night here in southern California so I figured I'd pull one out of the archives for your. One for the LA Derby Dolls...and the rest of you lovely rollergirls all around the world.

An episode "inspired" by the local (LA,OC & IE) talent featuring:

Blood, Sweat & Tears
AC/DC
Rick James (bitch!)
The Romantics
Blondie
The Eagles
Iggy Pop

If there's a roller derby league in your town, you owe it to yourself to check it out. Unless you're a big fraidy-cat that is...in which case we have former senator John Blutarsky with a personal challenge to you.

An oldie but a goodie from June of 2007 (@ 28 mins) and newly remixed for a cleaner sound.

How do I put this delicately...boy did this show end up sounding like it came from someone who hates the cops (which I do not). Hey, I'm just being honest with you. I went where the music took me and this was the end result.

Dr. Dre
N.W.A.
Peter Gabriel
Junior Brown
Cheap Trick
...along with a bunch of audio clips that will have you smiling.

Look, just give a listen and, please, let me know what you think.

After nearly two months adrift, THE KITCHEN SINK has
returned with a 47 minute whopper of an episode all about helping you stay focused on the task at hand this upcoming year and for good,
bad or ugly, letting go and giving yourself a break!

You've got 11+ months left in the 2008, so you better
pay attention to what's in front of you and quit
worrying about what's in the rear-view.

Still the best mix, the most diverse mix, of music you
will hear anywhere, if you think anything has
changed...think again.

Still looking out for your entertainment dollar.
Still bawdy, still raunchy and still throwing more
hooks at you than Smokin' Joe Frazier!!

THANK YOU for your patience and for logging back on to
your one stop music shop. MUSIC FOR THOSE WHO LIKE IT
ALL!!!
